Ananas

If you grow bromeliads you should have at lease one Ananas. I think it's a rule of some thing.

I have 3 types and they are:

Variegated Ananas don't know which one.

Have not seen a fruit on it yet. Big plant in a 3 gallon pot.

Ananas lucidus Variegated

Makes a small fruit. Great color. 

 

Ananas Mini Me

Have not seen a fruit on it yet. Hope it flowers this summer.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ananas Mini Me

At the Banquet for the WBC we received a free plant. That plant was  Ananas Mini Me. I have not heard or seen that Ananas before. So I looked it up with Google and found what Tropiflora had this to say about Ananas Mini Me.

 

"A unique patented spineless miniature pineapple that grows to less than a foot across and matures in a 4 inch pot. Suitable for a windowsill or a desk top! Fruits will mature and turn yellow-orange with a sweet fragrance. A real conversation piece."
