Hechtia montana

From what I can tell (on the Net) Hechtia montana is a Hechtia what is a dark green with sharp white teeth.
My plant came from Michael's Bromeliads in Venice, FL ( http://michaelsbromeliads.com/default.asp )

It seems this plant may be the silver or white form of Hechtia montana
The only photo's of  Hechtia montana on the Net are green.

It is listed in the BSI Binomial but Bromeliad Encyclopedia Florida Council of Bromeliad Societies web-site has no photo.

Hechtia's that I have/had look great when small but as they get larger they are harder to work with. Hechtia's get larger then Dyckia's and for me they  are harder to sell or give away.
What is why I am getting rid of them.

This one I may try to sell as it is still small.

Hechtia montana

It seems this plant may be the silver or white  form of Hechtia montana. Most of the photo's that I can find on the net are of a green or some what green looking plant.

It also seems that a silver or white Hechtia's are common.

To name a few Hechtia's that are silver or white are:

Hechtia aquamarina
Hechtia argentea
Hechtia lyman-smithii
Hechtia marnier-lapostollei

I looked at FCBS (http://fcbs.org/) Photo Index and some photo's I couldn't tell what color the plant was. But the plants listed below might be silver or white.

Hechtia bracteata
Hechtia caulescens
Hechtia confusa
Hechtia lepidophylla
Hechtia perotensis
Hechtia zamudioi

Hechtia montana

Hechtia montana was slow to root but once rooted is growing what I would call fast.

Hechtia montana

Hechtia montana comes from the San Jose del Cabo area in Baja California, Mexico.
I don't know for sure but it is said to grow to 24 - 36" wide, my plant is not that large.
Very white looking with teeth with a bite.

This is a hard one to root from a offset.
The the first Hechtia montana I got was a offset and it never rooted.
This is the second plant I have but it came with some roots.
It's doing well in full sun.
